General Conference Information:
The ICRAV is the racing industry's major technical conference. The Conference’s focus is the provision of the latest information to protect the:
- Integrity of the industry; and the
- Health and welfare of the participants – both the horse and rider/driver. There are joint sessions; plus separate sessions for the three major streams – Analytical, Veterinary and Medical.
The Conference is open to Analysts, Veterinarians, Doctors, Administrators and Stewards.
It allows:
- The industry’s technical experts - to mix with experts from around the world and ensure they have the latest research/intelligence.
- Stewards - to gain the best possible understanding in three critical areas - Analytical, Veterinary and Medical.
- Administrators - to provide input on the important industry issues; make recommendations to ensure that technical knowledge is implemented in the most practical way; and assure that this information is effectively circulated, internationally, throughout the industry.
Previous conferences have been held in Turkey(2008), Japan(2006), Dubai(2004), Florida(2002), England(2000), British Colombia(1998), Australia(1996), Sweden(1994), Louisiana(1992), South Africa(1990), Kentucky(1988) and Hong Kong(1985).
